Welcome to the Stepping Out with Stanford web site. Stepping Out with Stanford is a ten-week walking program that uses pedometers, step journals, e-mail coaching, and a web site tracking log to gradually raise the level of physical activity you incorporate into your daily life.

Register for 6 month Extension
If you took the Stepping Out class in the past, or if you are a current Stepping Out participant, you can continue the program for 6 additional months (26 weeks). For a $15 class extension fee, you will get weekly emails from a step coach and have access to your online progress reports and charts. You can also purchase a new pedometer for an extra $10.
